Vilac toys

So here is the newest must have. My Cora is obsessed with balls, as are most little ones.  She loves her soccer balls, her gumball machine balls, her squishy ball, her ballyball and ping pong ball... and she would LOVE this toy and all its bright colored balls. I love that its made from wood, not plastic, and that its something that is made well enough that it can be passed down to younger siblings... younger generations even!  Its an investment, check out the Oompa Toys link to buy it and lots of other great Vilac toys :)

Water Play Tables

These tables are so cool! Just the right size for a one year old and endless splashing fun! Perfect back yard tables for our little one!! They are "simple," they are cute, they are made of recycled and organic materials. Really, does it get any better for our new walkers???  

Kate Quinn Jacket

I have to have this jacket for my baby.  It's gorgeous, Kate Quinn at her finest.  Thing is, when would mine ever wear it!? I've thought about buying it big for when we move off the island, someday.  Ahhhh.  I'm ridiculous. But it IS beautiful, so I thought I would share. Maybe you can buy it for some beautiful little girl you know who actually lives somewhere where it would be necessary.

Happy Birthday? Here's a Plasma Car

This is the coolest thing EVER!!!  I'm not sure who I want this for more, me or the baby!!! It's called a Plasma Car and it drives all by itself (kinda)... you just turn the steering wheel and it moves... its all scientific and stuff. It is a must have for sure (and it comes in an assortment of colors!)  My babe LOVES being pushed around on her little truck that Grandma got her, but how cool would it be if she could move it herself!! No pedals, no engine, no batteries, it moves on pure energy!!! What will they come up with next?!?!?!? Go buy one :)

Havianas

Havianas are the best slippers you can buy.... and Cora HAS TO have some!!  Aren't they adorable?? Oh, and a little update, we finally found the Foogo Sippy cup ( at www.walmart.com ), so you can all sleep better at night now.

Her First Anywhere Chair

This is what Mel and I bought Cora for her 1st Birthday (except it is pink polka-dots instead of gingham. Pottery Barn has lots of great color options) the polka-dot is on back order until July 2nd though!!  Of course this is how it would be for me, because I don't pay enough in shipping as it is. I'll have to pay to rush it here by her birthday party, such is my life. She's going to LOVE IT though so its worth it. We took Cora to a toy store the other night and the little chairs were her favorite things. But if you're going to buy a chair for baby, Pottery Barn Kids is where its at! 

So this is my newest MUST HAVE for the babies... stay tuned :)

BabyLegs

These are the cutest things! Ok, ok, so Cora already has a couple pairs, but not NEARLY enough! I mean, look at the purple ones, SO CUTE. They are great, they protect her little knees while crawling and look super stylish and cute on new walkers. They keep little legs warm in cool climates, and protect little legs from bug bites in tropical climates. You just can't go wrong here... a must.

Mo Willems' Knuffle Bunny

I just LOVE Mo Willems' book, Knuffle Bunny. I bought it (for Cora) when she was only a "sparkle" in daddy's eye, long before she was ever conceived. I'm obsessed with children's books and my compulsion to buy them is in hyperdrive now that I actually HAVE a child to buy them for! Long story short... Mo has written another Knuffle book! Knuffle Bunny Too. It is a MUST HAVE. And Cora HAS TO HAVE the Knuffle Bunny softy. She just does. She will love him!  All kids will!

Egg Dress/Juicy Shoes

 This is the outfit that sparked the "blog".... I mean really, how absolutely stunning is it? I am in awe. Who knew that they made such beautiful baby clothes?? An Egg dress for $63 and Juicy Couture shoes for $83... for an infant!! Can I justify that? Here is how I am going to rationalize this purchase... I think, "well, Mel is going to have a graduation and commissioning ceremony, right? Those are big deals, right? His little girl will HAVE TO be dressed to the nines for that... right? I can buy them big, she can wear them when the time comes (THREE YEARS FROM NOW!!) Really??!?! Am I nuts? Who says it will fit her in three years? What if when it does fit we have nowhere appropriate for her to wear it? It's not like it's 'going to the park playdate' kinda attire... is it?? Or is it? See, this is my issue.... (but wouldn't you just love to see your little one in such a beautiful outfit? I know you would.) www.zappos.com here I come!

Must Haves For Baby

So... lets just cut to the chase. I'm a first time mom to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl. Need I say more?? The compulsion to shop for her is getting out of control! So I decided that every time I see something I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE I will journal about it and post it for everyone to see. This journalling serves three important purposes, kills two birds with one stone (sort of) as they say. First, it allows me to keep it (even if just in picture) for free. And secondly (hint hint) maybe someone who loves me (the mommy) or Mel (the daddy) or Cora (the beautiful baby) (or someone who doesn't know us at all) will read this and decide that I/we do really HAVE TO HAVE IT and poof, it will show up on our doorstep. No laughing! One can dream... And lastly, it provides other shopping obsessed moms with some great finds for their own little one!!

So stay tuned, because I will be posting here often... and no pressure (ok ok, a little pressure, but still...) no pressure.
